CT scanner-guided biopsy
A biopsy is a tissue sample that is examined under a microscope. During a CT Scanner-guided biopsy, the patient sits in a CT scanner; the scanner images help doctors determine where to place the needle to obtain a sample of suspicious tissue.
Organs that are commonly biopsied by CT Scanner are the liver, lungs, kidneys, pelvis, pancreas, pleura, lymph nodes, and bones.
For what type of pathology can CT scanner-guided biopsy be used?
